Layer Cake

Hi there!!!!!
I can't wait to tell you how my first baking course went.

My baking courses are on Saturday night. The baking classroom is located in the eastern area of Taipei. At night, there're always many clothes venders on the street. Hence, on the way to the classroom I kept looking around, viewing those many dresses and shoes.
OK! Go back to the topic. In this class, I wound make layer cakes. That was my first time to enter a professional baking classroom. There were so many machines, gadgets, and appliances which made me want to try right now.
( Look at the machine on the left. Don't you feel excited when you see the electric mixer? No? Maybe you don't have the passion for cooking. haha )

We weighed all the ingrediants first. Here's the ingrediants: flours, sugar, eggs, SP(起泡劑), baking powder, vanilla powder, syrup, and olive oil. After being mixed, the mixture looked so yummy.

( It looks so nice, doesn't it? )

Because this was a layer cake, we had to bake every layer one after another. It took us much time. However, the teacher started to divide various kinds of dessert he had made, such as cookies, fruit cake, MACARONS, TIRAMISU, and coffee cake. How lucky I was!

( She is my partner of  the course, Alice.
We all major in Russian. )

The hardest part of the process was to trim the shape of mixture on the baking tray. I had to make its surface flat, or I wound have a strange cake. Of course I had to do this again and again in order to achieve the perfect appearance.

YA~ Finally, we finished six layers.
Here's coming the important part! Slice it! How?

Hahaha. With this gadget, we can slice the cake into six pieces precisely. How interesting it is!

Finish! My layer cakes

After this class, I found that I love cooking more than I had imagined. This is my paradise, and I have many passionate classmates. As a result, I am really looking forward to the next class. By the way, I met a Korean girl. We talked about many thing of Taiwan and Korea. I hope that we can become good friends.

Everybody see you next time!!!

Chocolate Bean Cookie

Hi, I'm Mandy.
I'm here to tell you the dessert I just made!
This is my first post in this blog, so I want to share one kind of cookie that I usually make.
This is chocolate bean cookie, which is often made in American family.
With flour 150g, butter 100g, sugar 50g, an egg, baking powder 1/4 teaspoon, and chocolate beans, you can easily get about 20 pieces of the cookie. Having it with a cup of tea while watching TV is really a good choice.
However, be careful that do NOT mix too much flour, or you will have drier cookies, and be difficult to swallow it.
It takes me about 2 hours to finish. Before you start, take the butter out of the fridge for softening (NOT MELT).
By the way, replace baking powder with baking soda and mix in the chocolate powder, you will have another kind of cookies. Of course it needs another  recipe for weight.
That cookie has more chocolate flavor. If you want to have a try, I can provide you the recipe for you.
Cooking is very amazing because I can taste delicious dishes with different food combinations.
So come to join me! With this common and easy dessert, it isn't hard to enter the world of cooking any more. Even my sister can bake the cookie by herself.

Share a piece of my memory with you.
When I was in the sixth year at elementary school, there was a supermarket in front of my house where I could easily get ingrediants. Because of this, I entered the cooking world.
Therefore, after I know that which ingredient will give food which flavor, I will mix them together for my " flavor combination" .
Honestly, it taste good. But everytime I eat them, I will have a stomach ache soon.........
At that time, my sister was a kindergarten student, she really likes to eat the cookies made by her sister.........
So we rushed to the bathroom together everytime. :目
Don't be nervous, I don't do that anymore!!!!!
The recipe is very safe for your health. It is from a dessert book.

Haha.Enjoying it. :)
